Mahidol University is one of a few universities in the world with 3 Faculties of Medicine providing professional medical treatment up to the quaternary care level for the public. Our staff and students are covered by the University health insurance plan, applicable for treatment at any of the University's three first-class hospitals: Siriraj Hospital on the Bangkok Noi Campus, or Ramathibodi Hospital or the Hospital for Tropical Diseases on the Phayathai Campus.

Tram Service

- Tram Service
Tram service is a mass transportation system serving people in Salaya Campus. There 16 trams:13 of 28-seat tram, and 3 of 24-seat tram, which can use both natural gas and gasoline as a fuel. The tram body is decorated with fun graphics and university slogans; available in 3 patterns, Kanpai Mahidol flower (the symbolic plant of Mahidol University), campus buildings, and windmills. There are 4 routes serving the entire campus daily at no cost. Division of Physical and Environment. Tel : 0-2441-4400 Dog Shelter Dog shelter is a group of 3 one-floor buildings, abounds to fresh air and breezy inside. Each building is surrounded by a fence, accommodated 40 stray dogs. It aims to systematically and sustainably settle down a problem of more than 100 stray dogs in the university, which is managed by Faculty of Veterinary Science. The dogs are nourished with nutrient food and received regular treatment. In addition, the dogs are trained to be well behaved in preparation.

Sport

Mahidol University offers a wide range of modern and well-equipped sport facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports at all campuses, including swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts and indoor gymnasiums. At Salaya Campus, in particular, the College of Sports Science and Technology has five swimming pools (one olympic-sized) and a fitness center with weight training equipment, sauna and aerobics available for use.
