Thailand Research Fund (TRF), one of the national research funding agencies, has announced their 2009 national rating on research outputs among 436 institutions/departments on March 5, 2010. The rating was done for institutional research outputs during 2007-2008, using four criterions; (i) equivalent international publication per staff, (ii) impact factor per staff, (iii) total publication in the field, and (iv) total impact factor.  The Institute of Molecular Biosciences (MB) is rated in level “5” (from 1-5 scoring) in the field of Biotechnology, which is defined as “Excellent” in the field. This is once again that MB has recognized as a top rated research institution after the previous TRF rating in 2005.
